Dayton, OHIO – This past Friday night, the Chaminade Julienne Eagles Football team hosted the Badin Rams  and won by a score of 24-22. They played well in a crucial game that could decide their playoff fate.

The student section theme for the game was “blackout”. The students came decked out in black in support of the Eagles.

“It was a great atmosphere,” said senior Quarterback, Ryan Peltier. “The fans really had our back.”

Senior receiver Keshaun Owens recalled that “this was a good game for our team, and especially for our seniors.”

The team wanted to put a show on for the fans, and they did just that. CJ led but a late score by Badin and a recovered onside kick gave the Rams a chance for a game winning field goal. They might have frightened some people in the closing minutes, but they pulled out the win when Badin missed the field goal.

“It felt good to get our 7th win in a row,” said Peltier.

“We appreciate the fans and our community, coming out and supporting us,” said Owens.

CJ will battle for the league Championship Friday night as the Alter Knights come into Roger Glass Stadium in what should be a hard ticket to come by.
