Dayton, OHIO- The Chaminade Julienne Women’s Basketball team is adjusting to some changes this year with the hiring of a brand new coaching staff. However, this change has already brought the Eagles even more confidence and success.

“I am excited about this season with the new coaching staff. I think they bring a lot of experience and new ideas with them and I think we are lucky to have them.” said senior Nicole Fuchs regarding the new coaching staff.

“I am very excited for this season! With our great new coaching staff I know we will be shaped into smart, hardworking and determined players. Not just on the court, but also in school and in our daily lives.” said Greta Spees ‘20.

Not only is the new coaching staff making major strides but this year’s seniors are taking on the leadership role incredibly well by making the team feel more like a family.

“This season our seniors have taken initiative and started traditions for this team underclassman can carry on, like basketball families. I am looking forward to an improved, and very successful season and am sure great results are coming.” responded Greta.

“I am excited about my final season here. I am looking forward to having fun with my teammates and winning a lot of games along the way. As for the season, we have a tough season ahead with a difficult schedule but I believe with a lot of hard work and teamwork we can really make it something special!” replied Nicole when asked how she feels about her senior season.
